Since its establishment, SDIC has been adhering to the concept of reform and innovation and actively exploring for the development road of state-owned investment holding company with Chinese characteristics. With continuous restructuring and optimizing assets mix, we gradually developed the tri-pillared business framework which integrates industrial investment, financial services and state-owned assets management. During these years, we have made great achievements in the process of reform and development, with governance system and management mechanism well adapted to the operation of an investment holding company. Particularly in 2003, top management of SDIC launched the campaign of "Renewing start-up efforts"and worked out its first Five-Year Development Plan and Ten-Year Outlook in which SDIC aims to become the first-class domestic investment holding company within five years and to rank among the top investment players in the international arena in ten years. Since then, SDIC's development entered a fast lane, with its assets scale expanded quickly, assets quality and profitability further enhanced, its strength and influence improved continuously. SDIC is playing an increasingly important role in the development of national economy and restructuring of the state sector of the economy.

 

In the future, SDIC will continue to implement the Scientific Outlook on Development and follow its tenet of "Working for shareholders, for the society and for employees". It will spare no efforts to make innovations in development mode so that its sound and rapid development can be realized and its strategic goal of becoming world-class investment holding company can be achieved as early as possible.
