Power business is an important support to the assets and profit growth of SDIC, mainly operated by SDIC Huajing Power Holdings Co. Ltd..

 

By the end of 2010, total installed capacity of SDIC Electric Power Co reached 29397 MW with equity installed capacity of 17260 MW, including 7787 MW of hydropower, 244 MW of wind power and 20570 MW of thermal power. The installed capacity of projects in pipeline reached 13630 NW.The power projects of SDIC Electric Power Co are mainly distributed in provinces of Sichuan, Gansu, Henan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guizhou, Yunan, Anhui and Tianjin, including the super-large Ertan Hydropower Station in Sichuan Province, the large hydropower stations---Dachaoshan Hydropower Station in Yunnan Province, Songyu Power Plant in Fujian Province, Jingyuan Power Plant in Gansu Province, Beijiang Power Plant in Tianjin and Qinzhou Power Plant in Guangxi Province, and well-known power enterprises---Beijing Sanjili Energy Holding Co.Ltd. and Yunnan Dachaoshan Hydropower Co.Ltd..

 

Along with the commission of a number of key power projects, such as cascade hydropower stations in the Yalong River Valley and Tianjin million-kilowatt extra supercritical thermal power station-a pilot project of circular economy, the total installed capacity of SDIC will reach 50000 MW by 2012, with total assets of SDIC's power business exceeding RMB 140 billion.
