Hi-tech business is taken charge by SDIC High-tech Company Limited, which takes on the investment and management of 235 hi-tech industrialization projects designated by the central government of utilizing funds raised from issuance of State Treasury Bonds. The projects cover the sectors of electronic information, bio-pharmacy, auto parts, bio-agriculture, environment protection and water treatment, and new materials, etc. In China, more than 50% of the hepatitis-B bio-vaccines are produced by the Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co.Ltd.; over 50% of the plastic fuel tanks of cars are produced by the Yangzhou Yapp Plastic Auto Parts Co. Ltd.; and one third of the mobile lithium batteries are produced by the Tianjin Lishen Lithium Battery Joint Stock Co.Ltd..
