Ports and shipping business is taken charge by SDIC Communication Company, with its scope involving road (bridge and culvert), ports, shipping, development and management of related equipments. Assets scattered mainly in the regions of the Bohai Bay, the Yangtze River mouth, the Pearl River Delta and the Beibu Bay. The ports in which SDIC has controlling shares include the Caofeidian Coal Port (the first-phase project has an annual handling capacity of 50 million tons), the Jingtang Port Coal Dock (with an annual handling capacity of 30 million tons), the 150,000-ton bulk cargo dock at the Longkou Port, the third-phase project of the Zhenjiang Port, and the third-phase project of the Yangpu Port, etc. Projects under construction have a total investment of 11 billion yuan. Projects in pipeline included second-phase Caofeidian coal port, Yangpu oil port, Meizhou Bay coal port and Qinzhou coal port.
