In the past 10 years, SDIC has withdrawn capital from 965 projects, reclaiming 10.6 billion yuan. The reclaimed funds are reinvested in the key development areas of the company. Such an effective mode of operation enables SDIC to bring its unique advantages as a state-owned investment holding company into full play, and helps SDIC play a unique role in the strategic readjustment of the overall arrangement and structure of the national economy, in absorbing domestic and foreign investment, and in fostering new industrial groups.
Through the transfer of state-owned equity, SDIC succeeds, through asset management, in turning state-owned assets into state-owned capital, and helping state-owned capital withdraw from competitive sectors or non-key enterprises. Reclaimed funds are reinvested in the key sectors or key enterprises which are needed by the state-owned economy and thus, cross-industry, cross-region and cross-enterprise structure readjustment is realized in accordance with the national industrial policy.
