Yalong River Hydropower Development Company, Ltd. (or Yalong Hydro), previously known as Ertan Hydropower Development Company, Ltd., was first incorporated in 1989, restructured into a limited-liability company in February, 1995, and renamed as Yalong River Hydropower Development Company, Ltd. in November, 2012. The core business of Yalong Hydro is production of hydropower and new energy. The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, in October, 2003 and August, 2012 respectively, issued official documents authorizing Yalong Hydro as the sole entity to develop the hydropower resources in the Yalong river basin. This makes Yalong Hydro the only company in China authorized by the State to solely develop an entire river.

Yalong Hydro is building the world’s largest clean energy base with complementary hydro, wind and solar power, with a total installed capacity of approx. 80 GW. The company forges ahead to become a large clean energy producer providing multiple types of energy, and achieve upgradation and innovative development.
