SDIC Group signed an agreement on strategic cooperation with Suzhou Municipal Government on October 13, 2021. SDIC Group Chairman Bai Tao and Suzhou Party Secretary Xu Kunlin, Acting Mayor Wu Qingwen witnessed the signing of the agreement. SDIC Deputy General Manager Du Wenmin and Executive Vice Mayor Gu Haidong of Suzhou signed the agreement on behalf of each party.

During the meeting, Chairman Bai Tao expressed his gratitude to Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Suzhou Municipal Government for their long time support to the reform and development of SDIC Group and congratulated Suzhou on its economic and social achievements in recent years. Chairman Bai also briefed to Suzhou officials on the development history, performance, business layout and experimental reforms of SDIC Group as well as SDIC's active participation in the economic and social construction of Suzhou. He expressed his hope that the signing of the agreement would help SDIC Group to deepen its overall and in-depth cooperation with Suzhou, actively tap the cooperation potentials in the sectors of emerging industries with strategic importance, ecological and environmental protection and elderly care, and promote more investment projects to start construction and begin operation as early as possible so as to achieve common development for both sides.

Suzhou Party Secretary Xu Kunlin warmly welcomed Chairman Bai and his delegation to visit Suzhou and expressed his gratitude to SDIC Group for its strong support to the economic and social development of Suzhou. He said that SDIC Group enjoys unique advantages in infrastructure, emerging industries with strategic importance, finance and service industries, and shares common views with Suzhou in the trend of industry development. There is broad space of cooperation for both sides. He expressed his hope that the signing of the agreement would help to deepen their cooperation in multi areas, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation for the two sides.

According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in the sectors of emerging industries with strategic importance, ecological and environmental protection, elderly care, engineering service, inspection and testing, smart city and financial services. At the signing ceremony, SDIC's subsidiary companies signed cooperation agreements with related departments of Suzhou City. China National Complete Plant Import & Export Group Corporation Ltd.signed an agreement with Suzhou Water Bureau on cooperation of constructing projects for water environment treatment, water ecological restoration, dredging sluggish rivers and sewage treatment. China Electronics Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Wuzhong District Civil Affairs Bureau to establish the Guorun Institute of Intelligent Elderly Care Standards which is expected to help promote the research, drafting and promotion of local elderly care standards, and train specialists for intelligent elderly care industry. SDIC Environment and Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in Wuzhong District and signed agreements on projects of Wusongjiang Sewage Treatment Plant and Hedong Sewage Treatment Plant.

Attending the signing ceremony were also Guo Zhongjie, Assistant to SDIC General Manager, Secretary Li Baolin of the Board of Directors, SDIC Gaoxin Chairperson Wu Weiwei, SDIC Health Chairman Ye Boshou, Deputy General Manager Qiu Xiangdong of China National Complete Plant Import & Export Group Corporation Ltd., Chairman Lou Yu of China Electronics Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Secretary General Pan Guoqiang of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, Suzhou Vice Mayor Jiang Laiqing, Secretary General Chen Gao of Suzhou Municipal Government and leading officials from counties and districts of Suzhou City.
