In October 2021,Yalong River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. (Yalong Hydro) generated 10.105 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, the first time for its monthly electricity generation to break the 10 billion-kilowatt-hour mark and hit a record high in its history. This is the result of Yalong Hydro's efforts to spare no efforts in guaranteeing electricity supply in face of the tight energy supply situation throughout the country. Yalong Hydro paid high attention to the study of the important instructions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on guaranteeing energy supply and swiftly implemented the work arrangement of SDIC on guaranteeing energy supply.

October is usually close to the end of high flow season for the Yalong River. Under such a situation, Yalong Hydro set up a target of "precisely scheduling the use of water, highlighting work safety and making efforts to generate more electricity". The company enhanced equipment maintenance to make sure sound operation of its generator units, and accelerated the work of installation and test operation for the generator units at Lianghekou and Yangfanggou hydropower stations to expand its electricity generation capacity. Through optimizing electricity generation dispatching schedule and tapping potentials, hydropower stations of Yalong Hydro generated 1.887 billion kilowatt hours more of electricity in October as compared to the same month of last year.

Yalong Hydro made its contribution in October to the guaranteeing of energy supply campaign against the background of tight supply of coal for thermal power plants. In the next step, Yalong Hydro will continue to pay high attention to guaranteeing energy supply, closely monitor the demand/supply changes in its region and make further contribution to guaranteeing electricity supply in this winter and the coming spring.
