SDIC Yunnan Wind Power Co., Ltd. held a dedication ceremony for the Dachaoshan Xilinye PV Project on November 2, 2021 at Yunxian County, Lincang City. This indicates that SDIC Yunnan Wind Power actively answers the call of implementing the country's energy security strategy, and carrying out the country's important decisions on “peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality” and the requirements of green development by Yunnan Province to accelerate the pace of SDIC in integrated construction of wind, solar and pump-storage power in Yunnan Province where clean energy plays a dominant role, and to vigorously develop green energy. Tang Peiyuan, Director of the Standing Committee of Lincang People's Congress, Zhao Quanxin, Deputy Director of Lincang City Development and Reform Committee and Director of Lincang Energy Bureau, and chief leaders of Yunxian County attended the ground-breaking ceremony. Zhou Liang, Secretary of Yunxian Party Committee and Yu Haimiao, Deputy General Manager of SDIC Power, delivered speeches respectively at the ceremony. Relevant personnel of SDIC Yunnan Dachaoshan Hydro Power Co., Ltd. and SDIC Yunnan Wind Power Co., Ltd. were present at the ceremony.

The SDIC Yunxian hydro power, wind power and solar power base, by taking the advantage of the SDIC Dachaoshan Hydro Power Station already in operation, has a planned installation capacity of 1.6 million kilowatts and is expected to supplement each other with the hydro power and wind power facilities at the base for large-scale clean energy production. The first PV project at the base, the Dachaoshan Xilinye PV Project has a designed installation capacity of 300,000 kilowatts, is located at Xizhen Town, Yunxian County, Licang City, Yunnan Province and the altitude of the project is between 1921 and 2581 meters above sea level. The ground-breaking ceremony of the Dachaoshan Xilinye PV Project marks the start of SDIC's new energy project construction campaign in Yunnan Province in the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Yu Haimiao, Deputy General Manager of SDIC Power, said that the company will continue to use SDIC's unique advantage of a State-owned capital investment corporation, make use of SDIC Power's advantages of efficient decision-making process, high return on investment, broad fund-raising channels, strong technology support, advanced management expertise, strong synergy among different industries, strict safety requirements and rich talent reserves, and has the sincerity, confidence and determination to build the base into a comprehensive energy demonstration base consisting of wind power, solar power and hydro power.

Zhou Liang, Secretary of Yunxian Party Committee, said that the Dachaoshan Xilinye PV Project marks the first step toward the county's green energy goal and will be a clean energy supplier to green development of the county and the city. The county will coordinate with all sides involved and spare no efforts in assisting the construction of the project. He expressed his hope that SDIC Power will adopt “first class design, first class equipment and first class technology” standards to build the project, complete the development, construction and operation of the project on time, benefit the people of the county, build it into a first class model project in the green energy sector of Yunnan Province and make new contributions to the new energy development of Yunxian County.
