A grand ceremony for the establishment of SDIC Chuangyi Institute on Rural Revitalization and recruiting experts for the institute was held on December 23th, 2021. Expert representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, A.T. Kearney, Beijing Dabeinong Biotechology Co., Ltd., relevant enterprises and journalists from Guangming Daily and China News Service attended the ceremony.

SDIC Chuangyi Chairman and General Manager Wang Weidong welcomed the experts and introduced in detail about the funds entrusted to SDIC Chuangyi for management and project investment, informationization and risk control of the funds. Wang accompanied the experts to visit the SDIC Chuangyi big data exhibition hall and watched a video about SDIC Chuangyi. Wang and the guests jointly unveiled the SDIC Chuangyi Institute on Rural Revitalization.

At a seminar after the unveiling ceremony, experts put forward suggestions on future work of SDIC Chuangyi Institute on Rural Revitalization. Wang Xiuzhong, former Director of Center for Social Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, highly praised the role of SDIC Chuangyi in poverty elimination and rural revitalization, congratulated SDIC Chuangyi for establishing the institute, and pledged that he would make active contribution to the institute and assist the institute to make great contributions to rural revitalization and common prosperity for everyone. Lei Ming, President of Institute on Rural Revitalization at Peking University, said that SDIC Chuangyi has completed huge amount of experimental and innovative work in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, which has demonstrated the responsibility of a central SOE and has made important contributions to reducing risks of rural industrial investment and innovating the mechanism of investment and fund raising. Zhang Qi, President of China Institute for Poverty Reduction, Beijing Normal University, said that SDIC Chuangyi acts as a model in the sector of assisting rural revitalization through its industrial funds, which has helped to mobilize social capital through market-oriented funds and has blazed a new path for cultivating the ability of raising more funds for rural industries. Wang Yu, Global Partner of A.T. Kearney, said that SDIC Chuangyi is already the largest and influential investment organization in our country and also the only one that is dedicated to development of people's livelihood among all State-owned investment companies. The achievement made by SDIC Chuangyi can be a reference for global development.

Wang Weidong said that as an important player with its own special branding of a central enterprise in serving the national strategy, SDIC Chuangyi will, with the support and help from all the scholars and experts present at the ceremony, actively hone its capabilities, better implement the decisions of the CPC Central Committee, mobilize more social capital through investment with its industrial funds, and make more contributions to rural revitalization and common prosperity for everyone.

The establishment of the SDIC Chuangyi Institute on Rural Revitalization is designed to better serve the national strategy of rural revitalization and accelerate the pace of transforming itself into a market-oriented investment organization with research and knowledge driven characteristics. SDIC Chuangyi Institute on Rural Revitalization will be industrial investment service-oriented, improve its research capability, focus on the research of key policy and theory on rural revitalization, regional development, industrial structure and ESG investment, etc., and go all out to become a first-class corporate think-tank to help SDIC Chuangyi to further expand its influence in the area of rural revitalization.
