On January 4th, 2023, State Development & Investment Group Corporation and China Dongfang Electric Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement. SDIC Group Chairman Fu Gangfeng and Dongfang Electric Chairman Yu Peigen witnessed the signing of the agreement. SDIC Group Chief Accountant Li Ruge and Dongfang Electric Deputy General Manager Li Zhongjun signed the agreement on behalf of each side.

Chairman Fu briefed the guests about the development history, business coverage and recent business operation of SDIC Group. He said that Dongfang Electric had a long history and played an important role in construction of the China’s industrial system and in the process of the country’s modernization drive. SDIC Group and Dongfang Electric had established sound relationship during their long term cooperation and the signing of the agreement was expected to solidify the bilateral cooperation base, further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the sectors of green energy, human resource services, emerging industries with strategic importance and fund investment so as to build the two sides into a model of central SOEs’ win-win cooperation through giving play to the advantages of each side.

Chairman Yu introduced the development of Dongfang Electric’s business operation, business transformation and upgrading, and major manufacturing focus on electric generating turbines and key industries. He said that Dongfang Electric paid high attention to the bilateral cooperation and would take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to continue to provide better quality services to SDIC Group. He expressed his hope that the two sides could continue to deepen exchanges, broaden cooperation and make joint contributions to high quality development.

Leading executives from both sides also introduced the business development of related sectors and conducted in-depth exchanges in future cooperation.
