Recently, King Abdullah II of Jordan gave an exclusive interview to Xinhua News Agency. In the interview, King Abdullah II said“Since the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries, bilateral relations have achieved substantial progress. In the mining sector, a major investment cooperation project is acquisition of a 28% stake(worth of $ 502 USD) of Arab Potash Company (APC) by SDIC.” This is the only name of any enterprise mentioned by King Abdullah II in the interview.

Since SDIC’s investment in Arab Potash Company in 2018, the company’s potash output and sales have sucessively hit record highs, rising by more than 400,000 tons compared with preacquisition levels. In 2025, APC produced 2.9 million tons of potash and sold 2.88 million tons, marking its bestever performance in both output and sales. The company’s assets have gained sustained appreciation: its total assets reached 21 billion RMB yuan in 2025, doubled compared with the pre-acquisition figure. APC currently boasts a market capitalization of 41.6 billion RMB yuan. In recent years, Arab Potash Company has set up a sales representative office in Brazil as well as the APC Europe Trade and Logistics Company. By optimizing logistics and warehousing operations, it has expanded its market reach to more countries and regions across the globe.
